Hi it's Alisa here with the news.
Samson Daniel was born at 7:05am this morning. He weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.
He is stable and gorgeously pink. Both very wonderful things. Erika and Jay are both recovering from a very physically and emotionally exhausting experience. Thank you for all of your comments and support.
Just wanted you to know that I've been following your pregnancy from the beginning. I'm from the HLHS-yahoo board. I've been waiting anxiously for your little monkey's birth and will be praying whole heartedly for you guys... we've walked in your shoes... and we will walk with you through this journey.
Love,
Sheila Elliott
Hey guys -
Give a big hello to Samson for me - wish you all well and good thoughts on the road ahead.

Hi I am currently deployed on my second tour in Iraq and we have a friend of the family who has a baby on the way that has also been diagnosed with HLHS. Your situation has been an inspiration to me on an individual level and I am praying for Samson as he joins your family and his continued journey in life. He will be such a blessing and gift to your family. He in turn is blessed to have parents who love him so very much already and a genuine love for the Lord. God Bless you today and always.
Sincerely,

Mommy and Daddy fought for you all this time ... and now it's your turn to fight. You need to let the doctors do their job and fix you so you can go home to that house full of love.
We're all pulling for you. Tell Mommy & Daddy that those of us who've been through the fight know how hard it is and we're all here for them. And we're all here for you all.
Keep us posted! God Bless you all...
